Vocal Team Qualifications –
The following is a list of qualifications that are necessary to be a part of our Vocal Team ministry.
- Be a member of Emmaus Baptist Church – Membership is important because we must be unified in our beliefs and agree to the Purpose and Vision of Emmaus Baptist Church. Worship Leaders who are on our platform will need to realize that they will be seen by our congregation as examples in Godly attitudes, righteous actions and faithful attendance.
- Be a faithful member of the Worship Choir – The Vocal Teams are an outflow of the overall Worship Ministry here at Emmaus. The Worship Choir is considered the entry point to worship leadership. You will be required to be a faithful member of the Worship Choir for at least 6 months prior to auditioning. You are expected to be faithful in your attendance to the Worship Choir rehearsals and Sunday Morning presentations as well - even if you are not scheduled for that weekend!
- Be called of God – Be confident that you have a God-given desire to be a part of the team. This is a team ministry and all team members will be considered ministers. You will be held accountable for your actions not just by church staff but by the congregation as a whole. Sharing your talents and abilities in the proper manner can only be achieved though HIS power, strength, mercy and love.
- Have support of family – It is important that the individual’s immediate family members are willing to accept the necessary time commitment and be a support to the individual. We will do all we can to help family members to feel apart of this team and help them to understand the importance you have in this ministry. However, family comes before church and needs to be considered when auditioning for the team.
